Police arrest Indiana man after three-day pursuit

Posted: Updated:
ANDERSON -

Police say they've captured an Indiana man who eluded his pursuers for three days after he tried to run over an officer who was seeking to arrest him on a child molesting charge.

Dustin Mullins was being held without bond Saturday in the Madison County Jail in Anderson. Police say he faces charges of auto theft, resisting law enforcement, receiving stolen property and criminal recklessness. The 28-year-old Anderson man is also accused of molesting a 4-year-old girl.

Reports say Mullins escaped police Wednesday morning after a chase that reached speeds up to 120 mph. He was finally caught Friday in Randolph County.

Mullins was tried on the molesting charge earlier this year, but the jury couldn't reach a verdict. The prosecutor says he intends to try Mullins again.
