The trial date for a Louisville man charged with killing a college student from Indiana has been delayed eight months amid talk of a plea deal.
Prosecutors have offered a plea deal to Gregory O'Bryan, who is charged with killing Sullivan University student Andrew Compton of Carmel.
O'Bryan's trial has been delayed until July 2013 and another pretrial hearing is set for November.
Eighteen-year-old Compton disappeared October 28, 2010. O'Bryan has said Compton died while they had sex and he put the body in a garbage bin. The body has not been found.
O'Bryan has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, sodomy, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.
