Bob Mould explains "Silver Age"

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO -

Bob Mould was not feeling his age when he named his new record "Silver Age."

He says he chose that name because he was being approached about doing things to mark the 20th anniversary of Sugar's "Copper Blue" album.

Mould says choosing "Silver Age" was "metallurgical and not philosophical." He envisions it as a companion piece to "Copper Blue," and he's been playing that album in its entirety on his current tour.
