Slain woman's mom sues suspected killer's estate

ANDERSON -

The mother of a central Indiana woman fatally shot in June has filed a civil suit against the estate of the man authorities suspected in her killing.

Terri Wiles had filed a civil suit against Roy Parmley in July when the 53-year-old Lapel man was still believed to be at large. His body was found in August in a rural area.

Wiles' attorney, Mark Dudley, tells The Herald Bulletin an estate for Parmley was created earlier this week.

He says Wiles' suit has been amended and separate claims have been filed on behalf of Wiles and the estate of her daughter, Amanda Wiles, who was fatally shot in her home June 9.

Dudley says the suit seeks to get "as much money" from Parmley's estate as possible.
