TERRE HAUTE -

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has hired an executive search firm to help in selecting a new president.

The university is seeking to replace Matt Branam, who died in April at age 57. Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Robert Coons has been serving as interim president.

The school has hired Heidrick & Struggles Inc., to assist as the western Indiana school seeks to hire the 15th president in its history. Rose-Hulman Trustee Bill Schindel says the school chose that search firm because has a track record in both academic and industrial leadership searches.

Rose-Hulman's campus in Terre Hature is home to about 1,900 graduate students and 100 graduate students majoring in engineering, science or mathematics.
