Bucky Covington on "Good Guys" his new album

NASHVILLE -

Bucky Covington learned a few things about being in the public spotlight while on "American Idol" during its fifth season. But he says the show didn't prepare him for the business side of music.

Covington is finally out with his sophomore album, "Good Guys," released this week. But it comes after struggling a bit to find his footing after music executives didn't like the direction of his new music and then his record label shut down.

Covington says he's got a very hands-on approach with his new label and the new music reflects his multifaceted personality.
