NBC chided for programming choice during commemoration

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

It's the moment that people have been commemorating since 9/11: 8:48 a.m. - the time the first terrorist-controlled jumbo jet slammed into the World Trade Center. But this year, the moment will also be remembered for what one TV network DIDN'T do to mark the occasion.

While its rivals covered the solemn moment, NBC's "Today" show aired an interview with Kris Jenner of the Kardashian women talking about breast augmentation.

It's the latest in a series of embarrassments for "Today," which had long been a ratings leader in the morning TV wars - but has since fallen to ABC's "Good Morning America."
