Murder charge added to warrant for shooting suspect

INDIANAPOLIS -

Police have added a murder charge to a suspect who remains at large.

The Marion County Prosecutor's Office granted the charge against Harold Bishop Tuesday. Bishop, who is also known as Balagoon Sankoffa and Zimbabwe Sancoffe, is still at large.

William Cullens, 45, was shot and killed after an apparent confrontation with the suspect on August 31 in the 3900 block of Wind Drift Drive West. He is also suspected in a shooting the next day in the 3800 block of Winthrop Avenue and a shooting the same day in the 3700 block of Forest Manor Avenue.

The suspect also faces three additional charges of attempted murder and a single charge of both aggravated battery and a firearm charge for being a serious violent felon in possession of a firearm. Police continue to search for Bishop and are asking anyone with information about the man to contact the IMPD Homicide Office at 317-262-TIPS or text "INDYCS" plus tip information to 274627.
