Purdue quarterback Robert Marve has re-torn his left ACL and will be out at least a few weeks.
Marve completed 11 of 18 passes for 119 yards and a touchdown against Notre Dame this past Saturday before being injured on a sack late in the fourth quarter of a 20-17 loss. Coach Danny Hope said he expects the sixth-year senior to try to play again.
He first injured the knee in 2009 after he transferred from Miami. He started the first four games of 2010 at Purdue before re-injuring the knee and missing the rest of the season.
This season, Marve started the opener against Eastern Kentucky after starter Caleb TerBush was suspended and passed for a career-high 295 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-6 win.
