A man died Tuesday morning after he was shot on the east side of Indianapolis.
Police say the man suffered a gunshot wound before 7 a.m. He was found dead in the 3900 block of East 31st Street. They identified him as Darnell Pippens, 40, of Indianapolis. Police say neighbors discovered his body.
The investigation is still ongoing and an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
