Slipknot say doctor "took advantage" of bassist Paul Gray

DES MOINES -

Slipknot say they're in "a state of anger and sadness" that a doctor who treated bassist Paul Gray has been charged with prescribing huge amounts of narcotics for Gray.

Slipknot say Dr. Daniel Baldi "took advantage of our brother's illness while he was in a position to help others." They say they hope justice will be served so it won't happen to anyone else.

Baldi is accused of eight counts of involuntary manslaughter by prescribing drugs to eight patients who overdosed.

Gray died in 2010.
