LOS ANGELES -
It's not exactly the kind of language you'd expect to see on a campaign bumper sticker. But then again, neither was Clint Eastwood's "You want me to tell him what?" during last week's GOP convention.
Mary J. Blige helped deliver some hip-hop flava at the DNC last night. And she played the role of hip-hop queen to the max, telling the audience in Charlotte, North Carolina that they should "get it crunk for President Obama for four more years."
She performed two songs, "One," originally done by U2 and her own hit, "Dance 4 Me. Other celebs were on hand to promote a second term for Obama.
Kerry Washington told voters that people may think they're too busy to think about politics - but "politics is thinking about you."
Eva Longoria made a play for the middle class vote when she said when she was working at Wendy's she needed a tax break. But now that she's a star, she doesn't need one, yet GOP nominee Mitt Romney wants to give her one.
And James Taylor took a swipe at Eastwood's empty chair stunt last week when he sat a chair on the stage as he walked out to perform. He assured the audience: "Don't worry - I'm going to sit on it. I'm not going to talk to it." He then sat down to strum a few songs. He declared himself "an old white guy" who loves Barack Obama.
