INDIANAPOLIS -

Four people, including a juvenile, have been arrested in a string of armed robberies that occurred on Monday.

Elliot Johnson, 20, Shaquille Carter, 19, Brandon Nabors, 18, and a juvenile male were arrested and charged with four counts of robbery.

According to police, three robberies took place on Sept. 3rd in the area of 16th St. and Central Ave. Those incidents happened within minutes of each other around 12:30 pm. A fourth robbery was reported a little before 4:00 pm in the 2000 block of North College Ave.

Within minutes of the final robbery, officers spotted a vehicle near Brookside Park that matched a description reported by a witness. The four suspects were inside the vehicle, and one had a stolen knife taken from one of the victims.

In one of the incidents, a cyclist was struck by a beige Cadillac while riding a bicycle in the 900 block of East 19th St. The four men got out of the vehicle and stole his backpack.

The second robbery took place in the 1400 block of North Central Ave. Police say the victim was standing in front of a house when the same Cadillac pulled up. The four suspects got out, beat the man and stole his wallet.

In the third robbery, in the 00 block of East 12th St., another victim was standing outside when the Cadillac pulled up. The men got out and began to attack him. At that point a citizen started yelling, causing the men to flee. A witness was able to get a license plate number of the Cadillac, which allowed police to track down the vehicle and find the suspects.
