A 23-year-old Indianapolis man was arrested in connection with two robberies last month.
Indianapolis Metro Police arrested Jakee Talley. Detectives believe he was involved in two robbery incidents that occurred within two hours of each other on August 24, 2012.
The first incident took place in the 2900 block of North Chester Ave. at around 9:00 pm. Police say two armed suspects approached a woman outside her home and forced her inside. They robbed three women at gunpoint in the presence of several young children. They also ransacked the house and stole cash, along with a Jeep Liberty. The vehicle was recovered the next morning in the 4200 block of Devon Drive.
A little before 11:00 pm that same evening, police investigated a robbery in the 4800 block of Winthrop Ave. The couple who lived in the home were on the patio with friends when two armed suspects approached and forced them inside. One of the intruders pistol-whipped one of the victims several times. The home was ransacked and the intruders stole money and electronics.
Talley faces several charges in connection with both incidents, including eight counts of robbery, 11 counts of criminal confinement and two counts of carrying a handgun without a license.
