Chris Lighty: family seeks second autopsy

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

The family of Chris Lighty isn't settling for the conclusion reached by the medical examiner and police in New York City - that the hip-hop manager died of a suicide.

The family has asked for a second autopsy to see if there is any other conclusion about the cause of death.

Forensic pathologist Michael Baden says he performed a second autopsy after the family made the request. He says he is waiting for results. Baden gets paid to provide his opinions about how people died.

Among his high-profile appearances was in the double-murder trial of former football star O.J. Simpson.

Lighty was found dead in his Bronx apartment with a gunshot wound to the head. The medical examiner ruled it a suicide. But at least one family member says he's unsure that his brother took his own life.

He was going through a divorce at the time - and had some serious financial problems.
