Rory Storm and the Hurricanes recordings found

Posted: Updated:
LONDON -

The band that Ringo Starr was in before The Beatles will finally get around to releasing their first album.

The BBC reports Rory Storm and the Hurricanes made recordings in March 1960 at Storm's house and at a Liverpool club. The tapes were forgotten until they were recently discovered in Storm's sister's basement.

The band released a few singles but never charted. The tapes will be released later this month.
