INDIANAPOLIS -

Fifteen people were treated after being exposed to carbon monoxide at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Tuesday.

In all, 13 patients were taken to local hospitals after complaining of breathing difficulties and light-headedness.

It happened at the Exposition Hall. The patients were checked out at the scene. Medics measured their oxygen and carbon monoxide levels. Two patients, both State Fairgrounds employees, were released at the scene.

The other 13 employees, all from On-Demand Staffing Services, were taken to hospitals for evaluation.

State Fair officials are investigating the cause of the high carbon monoxide levels in the building.
