Overnight fog lingered into the early morning hours Tuesday, prompting several schools in north and west central Indiana to call for two-hour delays.

The low-lying fog was particularly heavy in Tipton, Clinton, Carroll and Howard counties, although schools as far west as Montgomery and as far east and Blackford County called for two hour delays.

By 7:30 a.m., 17 schools had decided to delay classes by two hours.
