Henryville reflects six months later

Posted: Updated:

HENRYVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Dozens of residents of a southern Indiana town devastated by a tornado gathered to mark the six-month anniversary of the storm and the work done since then to rebuild.

The picnic Sunday at Henryville's St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church brought together many people who rode out the March 2 storm that killed 13 people in southern Indiana as it destroyed hundreds of buildings.

Eighty-three-year-old Bob Masters tells The Courier-Journal that he isn't surprised by how his community came together after the tornado.

The town's rebuilt school opened in early August, but recovery work is still under way.
