WASHINGTON -

President Barack Obama is taking the high road in the wake of Clint Eastwood's attempt to skewer him on the last night of the GOP convention.

In an interview with USA Today, Obama says he is still a fan of Eastwood's - despite how he mimicked scolding an "invisible Obama" on the stage of the Tampa, Florida arena where the Republican convention closed out Thursday.

The president ducked a question about whether he found Eastwood's rambling diatribe offensive. Says Obama: "if you're easily offended, you should probably choose another profession."

Maybe that's partly because the president's campaign was quick to respond with a tweet mocking the empty chair sketch. The Twitter post showed Obama in his chair at a Cabinet meeting along with the caption: "This seat's taken."
