Jay-Z: Made in America Festival a hit in Philadelphia

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Jay-Z says Philadelphia has been good to him over the years - and he wanted to be good to it when he performed over the weekend at the two-day concert he headlined.

The crowd's response indicated the rap icon he didn't disappoint. He ran through a series of his hits during his appearance before some 50,000.

He started his 90-minute set by pulling an imitation of Rocky, bouncing up and down the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

There was a bit of politics in the mix with the music - as Jay-Z played a recorded video of President Barack Obama - who urged the crowd to vote this fall.

The president also says he enjoys listening to Jay-Z's music on his iPod. Others who performed along with Jay-Z were Pusha T, Big Sean and Kanye West.
