LOS ANGELES -

Dionne Warwick says she feels like she's lost another family member with the death of songwriter Hal David. She says she will always have him with her every time she sings his lyrics.

David and songwriting partner Burt Bacharach wrote such Warwick hits as "Don't Make Me Over," ''Walk On By," ''I Say a Little Prayer," and "Do You Know the Way to San Jose."

They also wrote "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," ''(They Long To Be) Close To You," and "Always Something There To Remind Me."

David died Saturday in Los Angeles of complications from a stroke earlier in the week. He was 91.

Smokey Robinson says he hopes "the music world will join together in celebrating the life of one of our greatest composers ever."
