Police are investigating a deadly accident in Hendricks County.
Police say 46-year-old William Fisher of Camby was traveling north on State Road 67 near County Road 800 South when he struck a man shortly after 4 a.m.
The victim, 30-year-old Michael E. Battle of Indianapolis, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say Battle was walking in the roadway wearing dark clothing when he was struck.
Fisher was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville with minor injuries.
Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
