INDIANAPOLIS -
After pummeling the Gulf cost, the remnants of Hurricane Isaac headed towards Indiana, threatening to dump three to six inches of rain on the Indianapolis area.
Periods of heavy downpours prompted some flash flooding near the Indiana State Fairgrounds, but the rains did not come as predicted.
Still, Gary Geskin who lives in flood prone Frog Hollow, is keeping watch on the sky.
"I'm going to be watching the news closely, keep a close eye on the weather and hopefully we will make it through okay" said Geskin.
On Saturday, events like the Women's Half Marathon went off without a hitch.
Other events, like the Indianapolis Labor Day Parade and the Miracle Parade were called off, even though most of the day was dry.
Late afternoon, a driving rain moved in, delaying the Indians final home game sending fans running for cover.
Brandon and Morgan Faulkner didn't want to spend their Labor day weekend indoors, so they headed for Ribfest.
"Luckily when we got here it stopped raining yeah right as we got here" Morgan said.
As of Saturday, the weather hasn't canceled any of the bands at Ribfest, but it has had an impact on attendance
"Today is off, obviously"
Dave Lucas, President of Rib America says even though more rain is forecast for the rest of the weekend, he doesn't think it will be a washout.
"Monday looks good so overall I think we will have a good Rib America this year "
