INDIANAPOLIS -
Some areas saw very little rain Saturday while others got drenching downpours courtesy of the outer bands of what used to be Hurricane Isaac.
Isaac lost its tropical characteristics Saturday morning and continues to weaken, but will still bring the potential for more heavy rain and minor flooding, with a small chance at a brief, weak tornado or severe storm on Sunday.
A strong thunderstorm advisory was issued for southeastern Hamilton and northeastern Marion Counties until 7:15 pm Saturday. Some spots reported heavy downpours that lasted for over 20 minutes with that storm.
Marion and Gas City had several inches of rain and some flash flooding on streets. Grant and Wells Counties had flood advisories.
Saturday rain totals:
Marion: 3.06"
Carmel: 1.40"
Logansport: 1.28"
Lafayette: 1.24"
Another one to two inches of rain are possible through Tuesday morning for central Indiana counties south of Kokomo. North of Kokomo, up to one inch is possible.
Temperatures will reach the low eighties Sunday.
