The Indianapolis Colts beat the Cincinnati Bengals 20-16 in the final preseason game for both teams.

First round draft pick Andrew Luck completed one of two pass attempts for eight yards in the only series he played. Drew Stanton came in at quarterback for the Colts' second series, before giving way to Bluffton native Chandler Harnish late in the first quarter.

Cincinnati took a 3-0 lead on a first quarter field goal by Mike Nugent. The Bengals took a 10-0 lead in the second quarter before Deji Karim scored on a 7-yard run to cut the lead to 10-7.

Warren Central grad Darren Evans put Indianapolis on top 14-10 less than two minutes later on a two-yard touchdown run. Nugent's second field goal of the game closed the gap to 14-13 at the break.

A third quarter field goal gave Cincinnati the lead again, 16-14. Harnish later found Dominique Jones for a 42-yard scoring pass to put Indianapolis up 20-16 in the fourth quarter.

Indianapolis opens the regular season next Sunday at Chicago.

Eyewitness News Sports Director Dave Calabro will have highlights and reaction from the game tonight on the Nightbeat at 11:00.
