Excise Officers Issue 57 Tickets During Ball State Move-In Weekend

Indiana State Excise Police officers issued 57 citations while patrolling around Ball State University Friday and Saturday nights.

On Friday, excise officers cited 19 people on a total of 32 charges, most for illegal consumption of alcohol. Additional tickets were issued for minor transporting alcohol, possession of false ID, open container violation and traffic offenses. Two adults were cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor. One juvenile was cited for illegal possession of alcohol and possession of tobacco.

On Saturday, officers cited 15 minors on 19 charges that included illegal possession of alcohol, possession of marijuana, false informing and various traffic violations. Two adults were cited for furnishing alcohol to minors.

Everyone cited this weekend will appear in court on later dates.
