INDIANAPOLIS -

Investigators with the FBI Safe Streets Task Force are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a person observed leaving the scene of a bank robbery Friday.

Police say a male walked into the Teachers Credit Union inside the Meijer store at 8375 E. 96th St. and demanded money at about 2:45 p.m. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of the money and was last seen walking toward the parking lot.

Police say no weapon was implied nor seen, and no injuries were reported.

Police describe the suspect as male with a goatee, 5 feet 9 to 6 feet tall, between 200 and 230 pounds. He was wearing a tan straw hat, sunglasses and a long-sleeve button-down shirt, and possibly tan pants.

Police ask anyone with information about the suspect's identity or incident to contact the FBI Safe Streets Task Force at 317.595.4000 or CRIME STOPPERS at 317.262.TIPS (8477). Callers may also text "INDYCS" plus tip information to 274627 (CRIMES).
