Johnson & Johnson to phase out parabens, other chemicals

Posted: Updated:

All Johnson & Johnson's products will be free of certain chemicals by 2016.

The company has announced it will phase out chemicals that have caused some concern in recent years like phthalates, parabens and the preservative formaldehyde.

Baby products will be reformulated by the end of next year. All adult products are projected to be reformulated by the end of 2015.

This includes not only the popular Johnson & Johnson "No More Tears" shampoos and related products but also adult skin care brands like Aveeno, Neutrogena, Clean and Clear and Lubriderm.
