INDIANAPOLIS -

Six friends from Columbus claimed a $14 million Hoosier Lotto jackpot Tuesday.

The "Thursday Lunch Six" matched the winning numbers in the August 4 drawing. The group will share a one-time lump sum of more than $5 million, or about $850,000 each before taxes.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Jay C Food Store on Jonathon Moore Pike in Columbus.

"It's hard for it to sink in that you've won the money and can do things that you couldn't do before," said Glenn Petri, one of the winners.

The other winners included Tom Brown, his wife Shirley Brown, Jane Sims, Martha Conway Risk and Victoria Glick, all of Columbus. The group says they've played Powerball together for about a year, but the winning ticket was just the second time they had bought tickets for the Hoosier Lottery drawing.
