LONDON -
There is a small part of the United States set up in the middle of the London Olympics.
"USA House" is a large hospitality area set up at the Royal College of Art for a select group of Olympic visitors.
"For just extended members of our Olympic family, so they could be current, competing athletes, their family, it could be our Olympic legends and their family, any members of our national governing bodies, our donors, so it's our extended Olympic family who is welcome into USA House," said USOC Marketing Director Lisa Reliford.
Decorations include a large canvas from the opening ceremony the athletes can sign during their visit.
"It's really sweet to be here with all the athletes. There was a gold medalist in here yesterday and it's just a really cool experience," said 14-year-old Christian Novagratz.
Guests can drink cold American beer, watch a live feed of the Games, grab a meal and not worry about a tab.
There is also the Team USA Shop, featuring the athletes' wardrobe.
"Their parade gear is available here that they get when they come and that you see them wearing throughout the games is available within the store," Reliford said.
Track stars Maurice Mitchell and Duane Solomon were checking out the prices on the gear they got free of charge. There are predictions the $85 tie belt the athletes will wear in the closing ceremony will be a hit.
When athletes win a medal, they have three jackets to choose from to wear on the podium. For everyone else, it runs $450, but it's selling.
