Serena WilliamsSerena Williams destroyed Russia's Maria Sharapova 6-0, 6-1 at Wimbledon to win her first Olympic singles gold medal.
She joins Steffi Graf as the only women with career Grand Slams and Olympic gold -- the so-called 'Golden Slam'.
She has another chance at gold with sister Venus in doubles.
Venus and Serena clinched at least a silver medal in Olympic doubles Saturday when they beat Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova of Russia 7-5, 6-4 in the semifinals.
The Williamses never faced a break point but needed six match points, all in the final game, to close out their latest win.
The sisters, who won the gold in 2000 and 2008, have yet to lose a set through four rounds. Their opponents Sunday will be Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic.
Venus seeks a record fourth tennis gold medal.
Andy Murray has a chance to win two Olympic gold medals. He will not only play Roger Federer in the singles final at Wimbledon on Sunday, but he will also be in the final of the mixed doubles after he and Laura Robson defeated Sabine Lisicki and Christopher Kas of Germany 6-1, 6-7 (7), 10-7.
The British pair will play for gold against the winner of the other semifinal between top-seeded Victoria Azarenka and Max Mirnyi of Belarus and third-seeded Lisa Raymond and Mike Bryan of the United States.
Top-seeded Bob and Mike Bryan won Olympic gold in men's doubles on Saturday, beating Michael Llodra and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France 6-4, 7-6 (2).
The American twin brothers, who have won 11 Grand Slam doubles titles, won a bronze medal in Beijing in 2008.
First-time Olympians Richard Gasquet and Julien Benneteau of France won the bronze medal by beating David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez of Spain 7-6 (4), 6-2.
