Wind and heavy rain hit Central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS -

Thunderstorms with strong winds and heavy rain moved through Central Indiana on Saturday afternoon.

Indianapolis Power and Light reportED just over 2,300 customers without power as of 3:30 p.m.

Duke Energy reportED about 300 customers in Morgan County without power after the storms moved through. 

Several warnings were issued by the National Weather Service as the storm moved through Indianapolis and counties northeast of the city.

The Indianapolis Colts were just beginning practice at Anderson University with the storm moved into Madison County.  Players were sent off the field when lightning was seen in the distance.
