Winchester repeats as Band Day champion

INDIANAPOLIS -

Winchester Community High School has won this year's State Fair Band Day competition.

Winchester won the title for the second year in a row, topping 15 other schools that reached Friday night's finals at the State Fairgrounds. The list of schools in the finals included:

Anderson High School
Centerville High School
East Central High School
Elwood High School
Frankton High School
Jay County High School
Kokomo High School
Mooresville High School
Muncie Central High School
Muncie Southside High School
Noblesville High School
Northeastern High School
Richmond High School
Union County High School
Winchester Community High School
Yorktown High School

Winchester also won the Class AAA title, ahead of Muncie Southside and Richmond. Centerville won the Class AA title, finishing ahead of Frankton and Yorktown. Sheridan won in Class A, topping Wabash and Manchester.
