INDIANAPOLIS -
Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead, with his child in the car.
IMPD officers were called to the shooting in the 11400 block of Silver Drift Way around 6:20 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, they found the man in his vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. At least five shots struck the victim an unknown number of times. The man's child was in the vehicle when the shooting occurred.
The victim was pronounced dead at Methodist Hospital a short time later.
The suspect is believed to be a black man in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing a white shirt and shorts, with a short dreadlock hairstyle. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
Anyone with any information about this homicide is asked to call IMPD Homicide or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
