FORTVILLE -

A Hancock County community came together Thursday to show support for an officer shot during a traffic stop.

Officer Matt Fox was shot during a stop near Lawrence last Friday night, suffering injuries to his head and wrist.

More than 100 people gathered at Memorial Park in Fortville to take a community support photo that will be given to Fox, who was released from the hospital Wednesday. He has been taken to a rehabilitation facility to continue his recovery.

Officers from the Fortville Police Department also attended the gathering, along with Fox's police dog, Lannie, who was in the car when the officer was shot.
