Bond denied for ex-trooper facing 3rd murder trial

ROCKPORT -

A former Indiana state trooper has lost his bid to get out of jail while awaiting a third trial on charges that he killed his wife and two young children.

The Courier-Journal and WAVE-TV reported Wednesday a judge has denied David Camm's request for bond.

Both the prosecution and defense say they want Camm's third trial to be held in a county north of Indianapolis, and Spencer Circuit Judge Jon Dartt has agreed to try to accommodate that request.

Camm has twice been convicted in connection with the September 2000 shootings of his wife, Kimberly, and their children, Bradley and Jill, in the garage of their Floyd County home, but both convictions were later overturned on appeal.
