Stanley Cup heads Fort Wayne for August 7 benefit

FORT WAYNE -

Indiana hockey fans can see the Stanley Cup in Fort Wayne next week and help out some furry friends at the same time.

WANE-TV reports will be on public display Aug. 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the HOPE for Animals Low Cost Spay/Neuter/Wellness Clinic.

Rob Laird, a former Fort Wayne Komets player and coach who's now a scout now with the Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings, is using his time with the Stanley Cup to help raise money for the clinic. Fans can have a photo taken of themselves with the cup for a $5 donation.

The clinic is located at 1333 Maycrest Dr. in Fort Wayne.
