ANDERSON -

You still have several days left this week to catch the Colts at their Anderson University camp. It's a chance for families to get close to the players for free, and the families we spoke with say it's the perfect option just before school begins.

"This is awesome. I'm 30 feet from the players. You can almost reach out and touch them," said Michael Jones, Colts fan.

You might not be able to high five Andrew Luck, but you can get pretty close as the boys in blue practice at Anderson University until August 17th.

"It's something the kids look forward to every year," said Chris Fields, Decatur.

The Fields family's summer plans have always included Colts training camp. A $10 parking fee gives this family of five a chance to be a part of a new football era even if they're not quite ready for it.

"We are a Colts family first and a Manning family second," said Fields, but he was quickly corrected by his son and daughter. "No! The other way around!" they said.

A new team and a new quarterback for the Colts means new gear. A lot of the people at the store are buying Andrew Luck gear but they aren't ready for the big jersey purchase. They'd rather get the T-shirt.

"We are still in a tough economy. $115 for a jersey versus $35 for a shirt. Looks just as good to me," said Jeremy Simmons, Fairmont.

But Samantha Decker from Illinois is spending money at Colts camp. She also drove an hour and a half to meet the new team.

"It's one of the last things to learn before school. And we have a whole team to learn!" she said.

There are games for then kids and autograph sessions if practice gets boring.

For the first time the City of Anderson is offering VIP spots: a hospitality tent at $100 a ticket gets you closer to the field.

"I believe it's $5 to $6 million each year for the kind of impact for the city," said Jason Childers, city of Anderson.

Practice time most days is from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Even though it's hot, you can't bring a cooler. There are concession stands inside.
