ANDERSON -
The public is invited to come watch the Colts practice today at Anderson University. It is a great way to see the team in action, without spending a fortune on tickets. You will be able to see players up close and personal all for free; the only thing you have to pay for is parking, which ranges from $10-$20.
Sunday was the first day of training camp this season at Anderson University. A lot of people are curious to see number 12 in action. For Quarterback Andrew Luck, this is his first NFL training camp. It is not just Luck you may run into. Anderson University's Chris Williams said, depending on the day, there's an opportunity to see a lot of different players.
"I think it really depends on the needs and goals that the team is trying to achieve for that day, but I would just say, come up, have a great time, have a sharpie ready for an autograph is the opportunity presents itself."
There is also an area set up for the kids, called Colts City.
"There'll be inflatables for kids, a mini stage where bands will play, pro shops where people can pick up souvenirs and jerseys and shirts. So there's just going to be a lot going on," said Williams.
Williams said you should also bring money if you're interested in stocking up on Colts gear. The team has an entire store set up which you have to pass through to enter and exit practice.
A notable change for this year: there is only one practice a day. The practice is usually held in the afternoon, but it is a good idea to check the schedule before you come up. There are some days off and closed practices. To check the schedule, click here.
