Indiana conservation officers say a 15-year-old Fort Wayne boy whose body was recovered from a Whitley County lake is believed to have drowned.

They say the victim was with friends Saturday night at Troy Cedar Lake, about 25 miles northwest of Fort Wayne, when he began to have trouble swimming, went under water and did not resurface.

They say an officer recovered the body 90 minutes later in about 10 feet of water and 55 feet from shore

The victim's name has not yet been released.

Officers say the Whitley County Coroner's Office will schedule an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
