INDIANAPOLIS -

The state Court of Appeals has upheld a 245-year sentence for an Indianapolis man who pleaded guilty to murder charges in the shooting deaths of two women and two young children during a botched robbery.

The court ruled Friday that Ronald Davis' prison sentence was appropriate and didn't violate the terms of his plea agreement.

The 35-year-old Davis admitted that he was in the house during the January 2008 attack, but denied that he fired the shots. Davis and a co-defendant were accused of breaking into the house and seeking marijuana and money that weren't there.

Those killed were Andrea Yarrell and Gina Hunt and their children, 5-month-old Charlii Yarrell and 23-month-old Jordan Hunt.

The state Department of Correction website says Davis' earliest possible release date is November 2130.
