Pacers unveil 2012-13 schedule

INDIANAPOLIS -

The Indiana Pacers released their schedule for the upcoming season Thursday night.

The Pacers will open the season October 31st in Toronto, followed by a game in Charlotte two nights later. They will open the home portion of the schedule Saturday, November 3 against the Sacramento Kings at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Twelve of the Pacers' first 18 games will be played on the road, though the team will play nine of 11 February games at home.

The defending NBA champion Miami Heat visit Indianapolis on January 8 and February 1. The Heat eliminated the Pacers from the second round of the playoffs last season.

The Pacers will host San Antonio in their traditional game the day after Thanksgiving and will play an afternoon game on New Year's Eve against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Two Pacers games - January 10 vs. New York and April 16 at Boston - will be televised on TNT, the first time the Pacers have appeared on that network in five years. Five games are scheduled to be nationally televised on ESPN.
