MARION -

The Grant County Sheriff's Department is investigating a serious motorcycle crash at the 63 mile marker on northbound I-69 at about 12:30am Wednesday.

The rider, who has not been identified, was flown from the scene to Parkview Hospital in critical condition.  He was wearing a helmet, according to police, who have yet to determine what caused the crash.

Northbound I-69 is back open after being shut down most of the night.

An accident reconstruction team is likely to go back to the scene during daylight to determine what happened.  Traffic may be limited south of the S.R. 18 exit at that time.

Check back for updates later today.
