INDIANAPOLIS -
A man was taken to Wishard Hospital in critical condition after he was shot at the Cloud Nine Night Club in the 5000 block of W. 38th Street early Monday morning.
Officers had already staged in the area in preparation for closing time at the bar, when they were advised of a large fight around 2:40 a.m.
The man shot is described as a black male in his twenties. He was located outside the club. The exact cause of his injuries or the number of injuries he sustained is unclear at this time.
Police have not named a suspect.
Officers stayed on scene to assist with crowd control and preserve the crime scene.
Aggravated Assault detectives have arrived at the scene to begin the process of gathering information, evidence and interviewing possible witnesses. However, detectives would certainly encourage anyone with information about this incident to call IMPD at 317-327-3811 or CRIME STOPPERS at 317.262.TIPS (8477).
