Police continue search for bank robber

INDIANAPOLIS -

IMPD officers were dispatched the Fifth Third Bank in the 2000 block of East County Line Road Saturday just before 2 p.m. for a bank robbery.

According to police the suspect entered the bank, passed the teller a note implying he had a weapon but none was seen.  Witnesses told police that once the suspect had the money, he fled on foot eastbound from the bank.

There were no injuries during the robbery.

Officers from the Greenwood Police Department and IMPD checked several locations in the area on foot and with canine assistance but found no sign of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a: white male, approximately 50 to 60 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, approximately 150 to 175 pounds, with a mustache and goatee.

He was also described as having bad teeth. The suspect was wearing a black and white checkered baseball cap with a ponytail in the back (not known if this was real hair), a red zipper hoodie sweatshirt with a dark blue or black tee-shirt underneath that has some sort of writing on it. He was also wearing blue jeans with white tennis shoes.
