Colts rookie tight ends remain unsigned

INDIANAPOLIS -

Quarterback Andrew Luck and the rest of the Colts rookies get an early start to the 2012 season with a three-day camp opening Wednesday at the Colts team complex. The entire squad reports to Anderson University July 28 for training camp. But the Colts still have a pair of rookie tight ends to sign. Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen are waiting for their first NFL contracts.

Fleener is the second round pick who played with Luck at Stanford. Allen is a third round selection from Clemson. Both are expected to play big roles on offense right away, with no experienced tight ends on the roster. Messages to the agents of both players were not returned on Friday.

Fleener and Allen are the only Colts 2012 draft picks yet to sign a contract. Andrew Luck put his name on a guaranteed four-year, $22.1 million deal on Thursday. That includes a $14.5 million signing bonus.
