INDIANAPOLIS -
An Indianapolis Metro Police officer is on administrative leave without pay pending the outcome of a criminal investigation.
Craig Ratcliff, 54, faces three felony counts of stalking (including with a deadly weapon, a Class B felony), as well as 30 counts of invasion of privacy. He's also accused of violating a protective order.
Ratcliff held off police on Feb. 14, saying he was upset with a woman over Valentine's Day. He was carrying a small box of candy, a greeting card and a stuffed animal when he surrendered.
Ratcliff was arrested Thursday. He is being held at the Marion County Jail.
Prosecutors say the stalking occurred between September 2011 and April 2012 and was targeted towards the same woman.
Ratcliff is accused of following the woman home and to her place of work on multiple occasions. Prosecutors also say he sent the same woman flowers on at least seven different occasions and bombarded her with text messages day after day.
Then in March, it's alleged that Ratcliff began calling the woman repeatedly for over eleven days in a row. Prosecutors say Ratcliff started up again in April for another seven days, leaving multiple voicemail messages.
Ratcliff was on administrative leave with pay from February 2012 through mid-July. He is now on administrative leave without pay.
An initial hearing has not been set yet.
