Indiana police arrest man after Kentucky faked death try

MADISON -

Police in southern Indiana have arrested a man who authorities say tried to fake his death by jumping from a Kentucky bridge but then posted Internet videos showing he was alive.

The Jefferson County sheriff says 40-year-old Wade Meisberger didn't resist as he was arrested at a mobile home park near Madison on a probation violation warrant.

Sheriff John Wallace tells The Madison Courier he believes Meisberger was looking for a place to stay when he was caught late Tuesday. Crews in nearby Carrollton, Ky., searched about 10 hours for Meisberger on June 21.

Meisberger is on probation after serving a prison sentence for the 1991 killing of a man in Bloomington, Ind. He claimed in his Internet videos he wanted to expose corruption in probation offices.
