TIPPECANOE COUNTY -
A Lafayette man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash in Tippecanoe County.
Police say Lucas Spitznagle, 21, was driving a motorcycle north on SR 25 North when he traveled left of center and struck a southbound semi-trailer. Spitznagle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash. The truck driver, 39-year-old Jason Sharp of Frankfort, did not sustain any injuries.
